Dubstep thread

Skrillex is a very talented Brostep producer. :D

Brostep is a relatively new sub-genre of music (born out of Dubstep micro-genre) which has no emphasis on soul.

The goal appears to be to produce music as fast as you possibly can, without placing any emphasis on quality.

Unlike Dubstep where sub bass is key, Brostep places more emphasis on ratty high frequency samples and oscillators that arent even low frequency. Toss in a few hip hop vocal samples and you are well on your way to being the worlds next big Brostep producer.

One of the best after party videos i've ever seen (Get it in HD!):

p.s. i definitely need to go to some Dubstep and DnB nights in America :D

Just found out that my pal bought boat party tickets for me and him at Outlook this year. I was away at the weekend so assumed we would just have to miss out. He managed to nab tickets for:

Boat 3 (18:30 – 22:30) – Tuesday Club vs. New Bohemia: Kidkanevil, Andy H, Broke’n’£nglish & TTC DJ’s
Boat 13 (14:00 – 18:00) – Skream & Plastician present “The Booze Cruise”
Boat 19 (14:00 – 18:00) – Sin City: Hatcha & Benga, Coki & Chef, Lost & Prophecy, Dismantle, Crazy D & Mighty Mo

Very excited, for the last two mainly, the first he booked on a whim :D

well stumbled across that dubstep video of Louder where they are doing a video outside of a store. Seems my cup of tea/petrol ;)

Just checking out all the UKF stuff and that xilent track above choose me seems quite good. Any more along the lines of "louder" i can check out? thanks in adv

not hate just that there overhyped thats all, skillrex is like the pendulum of dubstep. Great if your new to the genre but nothing overally special.

I started listening to Metallica when I started liking Metal and Thrash, does that make them bad?

If you like them or you don't it doesn't make them bad, it just means you don't like them/him/her.

Skrillex is fantastic if you're after something electronic to mosh to ;), however older dub is good for different reasons.
