Dubstep thread

Brostop is one of the most obnoxious terms I've ever heard, people that use it a lot are almost exclusively elitist idiots.

What would you prefer it be called?

Anyway, I like brostep when I'm in the mood for it. Let's me get my swagger on. And I don't mind listening to it at home if I'm in the mood. Whereas Pendulum are absolutely banned from the house.

I wasn't sure whether or not to put this in here or just in the NP thread. Both artists tag themselves as electronic/shoegaze/dreampop. But you can definitely hear the Burial-esque influence with these tracks.

The album 'Dubstep Allstars Vol.8 Mixed by Distance' is worth picking up for the non-brosteppers. No skrillex in sight.

Went to Global last weekend, was one hell of an experience!

Jaguar skills got switched, so i missed him unfortunately :(

Saw Skream & Benga play a brilliant set, even if it wasn't proper dubstep it still had the tent absolutely bouncing, don't really remember really listening to anymore dubstep artists to be fair, although quite a few DnB artists dropped some however :D

Seems like it won't be long until this dubstep/brostep malarkey just becomes fidget house. To be fair, I love fidget house so I'm actually quite happy there's more of it (or nearly it) appearing.

Herve/Sinden/Crookers etc. were all doing tracks sort of like the recent Skrillex stuff years ago. Does it annoy anyone else that ALL of Skrillex's remixes just replace the 'drop' of the original with one of the 'drops' from any song from the scary monsters EP, nothing actually new or 'remixed' about them just cut and paste jobs.
