Duke gets a release date

Gives me a chuckle, reading a few of the comments on the youtube trailer. No rage, though - as there won't be when some places inevitably give this game a bad rating for not bringing anything new to the genre, not pushing boundaries or revolutionising gameplay. I don't want that - I want Duke. Some people won't get it, and that's fine. It's not for them.

It's for me.

I'm gonna give it a month and see how user opinion does. I expect almost every magazine and website to give it 9/10 or better regardless of game quality and everyone will be excited for a week on release.

I'll see how many are still so taken in after a month before I decide to spend my money on it

I doubt the actual game will be as heavily pixelated, probably just for the trailer since it'll be on YouTube etc.

Looks good. Use to love playing multiplayer on the N64 version. Will pick this up for a laugh tho.

It's by no means going to re-define the genre at this point (at least I doubt it), but it's Duke Nukem, of course I'm buying it.
