Is the Emperor depicted as being so ordinary and powerless in the books ? Just like a normal Duke.
The emperor doesn't seem to ooze authority at all, like he's always doubting or 2nd guessing everything.
That's exactly was I was going to say nice to see Ragnar backI think you'll find Travis Fimmel is just a character he played, his real name is Ragnar Lodbrok
I thought episode 3 wasn't out until 9pm tonight? Spoilers?
Funny that it's so marmite. Usually I'm very picky about the TV shows I watch and I'm really enjoying this.Wow, this is really, really bad. Absolute hot garbage.
Makes the 2000 Syfy version look good.
The writing, direction, and performances are awful. It just feels like a cheap TV drama, every scene is so ham-fisted. The director is trying and failing to ape Villeneuve.Funny that it's so marmite. Usually I'm very picky about the TV shows I watch and I'm really enjoying this.

The sets are terrible.
If this was 10-15 years ago maybe it would be forgivable, but compared to modern TV standards, this is tripe.
Not really then.Worth watching? I disliked the recent two part villnerve version
