Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

mine was running ok at 60fps,but now its just a mess, my frames are jumping from 60fps to 25fps sometimes and when its at 60fps its still not smooth,it feels bumpy and jaggy
dont think i will play this for a moment its not a joy for me at all.

Game runs pretty well, but the view distance on 100% when outdoor kills the frame rate even with two 980's (1080p). I get around 35 to 40fps, even though the VRAM is around 3.8GB but my GPU usage drops to around 35% usage on both.

If I drops the views distance to 50%, GPU usage on both 980's increase to 50 to 65%, VRAM usage stay the same and the frame rate increases to 60fps.

This game needs some more optimising.

That'll be CPU limitations bottle necking the graphics cards at 100% view distance with how your GPU usage decreases as it goes up.

lol just met a volatile and it ripped me a new one. Luckily for me I have not had any crashed uet but the performance is poor this is the first game I have had to turn the video options down to gain a few more fps. I know my spec is not cutting edge but I did expect a little more fps. I7 4779k, GTX 680 and 16gb of memory.

I See Amazon have an edition where you get to play as a zombie, is that a preorder incentive with them only?

I pre-ordered the disc edition from there about 6 months , now as a way to say sorry, it comes with every bit of DLC going, although I wouldn't get it until next month.

Be The Zombie comes with every version now, it was supposed to be for pre-orders only.

Looks like the offspring of mirrors edge and left 4 dead.. and thats not neccesarily a bad thing either

I'm a little apprehensive about multi-platform releases however, this one hangs on how good they do with the tech side

Enjoyed this game so far had a couple of performance issues with a 4690k @4.6 and a 970Strix, not monitored vram use but running 1080 so don't think I'm even nearing 3gb will check tonight however. By performance issues I was running 60-80 fps at the start then mainly when I neared the outside (even when not in view) I dropped to 30-40 sometimes when outside having frame drops below 30, and when it cuts to a in game cutscene it can lag like hell. But still loving the game!!

If you are running High Textures and High Shadow Map you will be hitting the 970 3.5GB VRAM. I've posted a few videos about it on here.

I loved Mirrors Edge and that tipped this from being a wait and see to a just buy it. I took a punt on an £18 Steam key gift which ended up being a Danish key which activated fine on Steam (I used a VPN to activate). All installed and hoping to it play it later on (without VPN).

Hi, couple of Q's

1. Are the zombies spawning outside your view or is there a fixed amount in an
area if you clear em out they are gone?

2. How hard in hardest difficulty?
