Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

I'd be happy with consistent 40fps+

I did Max out the draw distance in the options....

See the settings guide on the other page, draw distance has quite an effect, leaving mine at 50 for now as you cant tell the difference unless your up really high, hopefully we'll get around 50 Fps with CF290x's/295X when crossfire comes in, for the meantime O/C your gpu and you'll average 35ish.

Just past the intro and the frame rate drops a fair bit once you get outside. Getting 25-30 average with a 280x. No stuttering/performance drops yet. Going to mess with the settings some more.

Alright, for ultra-wide monitor gamers you're in for a treat. Flawless out of the box.

Performance wise it's pretty good. I am playing 3440x1440 with maximum everything, inc view distance. Outside at times it will drop to 25fps but on average it's 45 with 50+ indoors. It remains fluid mostly throughout though. I don't know how much VRAM is being used as I forgot to check but it's certainly no problem for a 4GB card.

Graphics wise it's not omg wow, the ambience is great but the graphical quality isn't as realistic as I'd expect given the sys reqs and performance. The lighting is good though as are transitional effects.

I have a video up in glorious 3440x1440 but at one point one of the characters swear so cannot post it here....

I made a short video using High and Medium textures to show the 970 3.5GB VRAM issues. As soon as it reached 3500mb the game starts to stutter really badly and craps out.

Lowering it to Medium textures and it runs smooth as silk. I'm only gaming at 1080p. Should I not be using High textures at 1080p?

Probably something to do with how mem is allocated on the 970. But before anyone jumps down my throat best asking other 970 users. ;)

The audio was perfect until 15mins into the game, now even after restarting the game the audio stutters at the main menu.

All my drivers are up to date, so no issue there and no other game I have has stuttering audio.

Performance otherwise is great. The game very quickly uses about 3.8GB VRAM when maxed out at 1080p indoors, runs silky smooth. Just need to get that stuttering audio fixed.

Update - Have changed my audio settings in the control panel from 24 bit, 192000 Hz to 24 bit, 96000 Hz and the stuttering audio has gone, at least for now. I have used 24 bit, 192000 Hz for many years without issues.

Tried AFR friendly Crossfire with 3x GPU's and it ran like crap

1x1 Optimize runs better. I get an almost consistent 35fps now....still not great for 3x gpu's but better than it was. It's playable now

performance seems a bit all over the place from time to time, but doesnt need much more then 50+ it seems.

What does ****es me off is the motion blur when running around/jumping/dropping of things even with motion blur off. Any way to eliminate that?

This kind off ''fancy'' stuff always seems to give me motionsickness..hell i cant even play BF4 anymore after getting used to CSGO. Plain and simple.

Also keyboard and mouse seem to be a nicer way to play over xbox controller?
