Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

... Climb a radio tower in order to flip a switch at the top, then zipline back down again. Now where have I seen that before:rolleyes:

If you had told me this game was a Far Cry 3 mod I would have believed you without hesitation.

Because communication masts with tensioning cables never existed before Far Cry 3?

It doesn't play anything like Far Cry 3  Pretty much the only similarity is it's a First person viewpoint.

Finished the main story today, now there are still plenty of missions to do. I found this very engaging in a way FC4 can't come close to.

Happily played on high settings at 1440 on a 780ti (no motion blur, low AA as its not needed with my eyes) - max 3gb vram usage.

There are many elements very similar to Far Cry 3. Did you play it?... Apart from looking very similar, the whole fabric of the game screams far cry 3...the resource gathering, climbing towers, herbs, spawn points at the nearest tower(as well as the playing the last message whenever you load the game), clearing outposts. Even most of the looting and climbing animations are very similar... I just did the slide you do when running and I could have sworn I was back playing fc3!

I'm just waiting for the trippy hallucination sequence where you have to walk slowly along a path... I'm sure it's coming:p... Oh, and I just met the cheap knock-off Vaas wannabee.

I've not enjoyed a game this much in a very long time, some of the moments that are created just by coincidence are brilliant, I was starting to lose faith in gaming but I just cant wait to get home and play it

I am being drawn back to this already and I only completed it two days ago.

Need to try and draw my attention elsewhere - maybe far cry or something although I restarted Skyrim last night lol

There are already some interesting mods in development for this game.

A minimal HUD is essential, but I've not tried it. There is something that buffs guns, slows or stops weapon degradation, changes levelling, gives shops all inventory, makes all skills available.

Worth keeping an eye on!

I'm about 20 hours in and roughly 90% story complete. I've ignored some side missions though, are you still able to do them after completing the main game? Or does it end there?
