Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Well hard mode doesn't seem /that/ much harder. I've noticed that the radar is pretty much useless now and I take a fair amount more damage. Seeing a lot more runners as well.

Probably doesn't help that I'm 24/24/25 with some pretty decent weapons. Might have to start a whole fresh save and see how it goes!

I've got to the final quest and have given up on multiple tries to get past the second part where the child creature is about to scream. I'm not sure if I want to bother to complete it as the trial and error of falling on jumps randomly is annoying me.

Question is can I get back into the main game without completing the final quest or do I have to start a new character/new game to carry on.

I would like to take advantage of any interesting DLC in the future.

Do you have any firecrackers?

Yes I have tons of stuff like firecrackers, speed boosters, etc, etc.
I'm above level 20 or so in all modes also.

The problem is that I keep randomly falling on the jumps. There seems to be no consistency on the jump approaches. I manage to get to the yellow pipes, finally, then fall off them trying to get to the next check point.

So I'm really asking whether its possible to skip this sequence as I find it frustrating.

You might be doing what I do sometimes which is spamming space bar so you either don't hold on or just fly off. I'm slowly getting into the habit of just holding it down instead and that seems to be fixing my problems!

There's a few parts where over-tapping the space bar (or button) will make you miss drops, just do it slower. I only found a couple of areas where it wasn't fluid though and it's usually moving from one telegraph/phone pole to another.

OK so it looks like either I start a new game or forget it.

I really hated that last sequence/quest, which is a pity because I loved the game in general and wanted to pretty much fully complete it. But I find this last quest a total anathema compared to the rest of the game.

That sequence took me several tries as well. Every time I was about to try a jump a viral would catch me and hit me mid jump and make me fall. Was really annoying.

I got past last sequences by killing a volatile and using the camouflage ability then just before it runs out sneak on another volatile and rinse and repeat

How does the playing the game in co-op work in regards to game saves?

I only play this with a mate online, And as long as you get to a safe house together and wait till night / day it saves all your progress.

If you randomly quit the game you just end up at the last checkpoint with what you had at that time.

when you get to the big drops just acros part way turn around shaine the uv light and they all stumble and fall to thier deaths :p

The companion app seems to have stopped working with the latest patch - no longer receiving the items ingame.

Have also been surprised a couple of times by returning to the game finding myself at a previous checkpoint - instead of the safe house I left it at...certainly gets the heart pumping! I guess because I was in the middle of a story mission, but it isn't always obvious that you are between or in the middle of a mission.

that area is horrible and it's still pretty bad after that too, you tend to die if you worry too much, just run over the grill whilst looking ahead and just jump, but if you stop on the grill you're liable to fall off later on, this game tends to let you live if you take risks, because it punishes you most if you stop and think what to do, you miss the grab points etc.

but when you die climbing the skyscraper later on it's easy, because you respawn close by.

That's the most frustrating part of the game, use the camouflage skill if you have it as that way you can get through about 80% of that section without the virals chasing you (just run and kill the child quickly then camouflage, from there on just neck snap a walker every so often and re-camouflage).
