Caporegime
Hardly. Pretty normal for open world games to only have one difficulty. Clearly they've seen fans clamouring for a harder challenge so have added it in.

I've got to the final quest and have given up on multiple tries to get past the second part where the child creature is about to scream. I'm not sure if I want to bother to complete it as the trial and error of falling on jumps randomly is annoying me.
Question is can I get back into the main game without completing the final quest or do I have to start a new character/new game to carry on.
I would like to take advantage of any interesting DLC in the future.
OK so it looks like either I start a new game or forget it.
I really hated that last sequence/quest, which is a pity because I loved the game in general and wanted to pretty much fully complete it. But I find this last quest a total anathema compared to the rest of the game.
I got past last sequences by killing a volatile and using the camouflage ability then just before it runs out sneak on another volatile and rinse and repeatThat sequence took me several tries as well. Every time I was about to try a jump a viral would catch me and hit me mid jump and make me fall. Was really annoying.
It does, had to disable it as it was causing game save irruption between *nix and windows
How does the playing the game in co-op work in regards to game saves?

Yes I have tons of stuff like firecrackers, speed boosters, etc, etc.
I'm above level 20 or so in all modes also.
The problem is that I keep randomly falling on the jumps. There seems to be no consistency on the jump approaches. I manage to get to the yellow pipes, finally, then fall off them trying to get to the next check point.
So I'm really asking whether its possible to skip this sequence as I find it frustrating.
