Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

After my initial blue screen I got after 40 mins of game play, since the latest patch this game has been running like a dream.

The crash was a game/driver bug, more than anything to do with an unstable oc on my cpu.

Just done the bit where for some reason they blur the whole screen, stop you from running and basically make you wander around aimlessly for no reason.

I don't know how they get away with this crap!... Who made that and thought yeah, that works great!?

I can't even do it. It has given me a headache. It's almost beyond comprehension that someone could think this was good!

Went back to it and finally did it. What a truly appalling piece of design!

Jade's death - something that might have had an impact, and been a good moment we're it not sandwiched by that appalling nightmare scene before it, and a really poor boss fight after it!... A good scene ruined:(

Why can't developers do decent mission gameplay in these types of games?... Still at least there has been no instafail stealth sections!

I am 34 hours, with 80% of the story done. It really is a very good game, and the story(such that it is) is actually told quite well. The main character is also surprisingly good too. The main place the game impresses though is the side quests imo. Some memorable characters, with interesting quests.

One thing- I despise the little animations that activate when you are attacked by a zombie. They do my head in. The game would be so much better without them.

Ive had this since it came out and probably only put 4 or 5 hours into it so far.

My main issue is the day/night cycle is far too quick. Is there a mod to slow it down?

So far on my second run I am focusing more on Side missions which is massive fun! I am enjoying the game so much more this time around and levelling up quicker!

Really looking forward to the next patches and what the devs will bring. Driving mode? More weapons? I want a chainsaw lol!!

Haha. I don't think it's bad at all. And as far as I know the night cycle goes quicker than the day.

Man up! :p

Anybody found some of the new weapons? The gold ones?

Ahh ok, been searching haven't found anything yet.

Around 40% in story and I can literally just wade through zombies with a good weapon. Does the difficulty ramp up/can you change it to hard without restarting? I'm now using a green hatchet just so it's more challenging. Preferred it when one zombie posed a real threat.

Doesn't matter, read up on it. For anybody wanting to know:

Campaign > Advanced > Play on Hard

I don't have an issue with playing at night, the issue is I think the time passes too quickly in game.

It has no effect on anything plot wise other than to have you chasing around everywhere, which is fine I get that, I just think the pace of the game is not balanced.
Day cycles could do with being at least twice as long.

Ah that's fair enough man. Suppose it can get annoying! At least you can sleep and pass the night cycle I guess.

Annoyed as I went to the new area (old town) and missed a load of blueprints in the previous one!

Edit: And if you're not a fan of the length of the night cycle I wouldn't try hard mode. It lasts twice as long, haha.

Can you not go back to the old area?

It least it up to the player to decide the game pace, you're not forced to move on artificially. I think it's pretty good, just occasionally it doesn't make sense in the story, when they mention meeting you in 48 hours etc but you can take as long as you want.
