Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

I am confused by this. Do I need to buy Dying Light before I buy The Following or have they been rolled into one?

I've not bought it yet, but I think the new version contains the original game, the extra 'stuff' such as the buggy missions + some visual enhancements, iirc.

Also what about the season pass and all the other gubbins?

I don't know.

Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition gives you the base game and all DLC(including the expansion obviously).

The Following on its own is just the expansion. You need the base game to play it, though.

Season Pass is the expansion plus all other DLC. Again, you need the base game to play it.

If you want to buy the base game alone, you have to go outside Steam to find a code. For some reason, they dont offer just the base game on Steam anymore.

So yes, the Enhanced Edition gets you everything, no additional purchases necessary.

Thanks for that clarification, if only the company themselves made it as clear as you did. :D

Yo, without the need of another thread, I thought I'd ask in here.

Started playing yesterday, LOVING it so far. However, one performance issue. I'm running this at 1440p 60Hz on a 980 ti (with a i5 3570k at 4.2Ghz).

It's a solid 60fps always, aside from when it's night time. PCSS is killing performance at night time. Is this just me or is PCSS a performance killer? During the day (when you'd think it would be worse) it's fine, at night if I look at a fire barrel, my fps tanks down to like 30fps...

It's strange, everything else is max, draw distance at 100%. I've disabled PCSS and low and behold, no fps drops what so ever. But it looks soooooo gooooood!

1440p 980ti and averaging about 100fps here, with the occasional dip into the 70s and quite often in the 130s, not sure on settings though.

Just finished the main story, loved it, best game I've played in ages. Any ideas what to do now? is there much left in the game to wander around in? it seems like I've seen and done most of it with a total of 72 hours logged.

Only just realise I have The Following to try, doh!

Yeah, its well worth it but don't rush the main quest. It's still an awesome game. My bro and I run double team with the Volatile Hunter Pack...buggy paint job included.

I'm not around for the next few days but feel free to give me a shout...would happily co-op!

Steam name is the same as my username here

As above don't rush the main quest as its over very quickly, do some of the side missions instead as a few of them are quite good.

Main quest of The Following, or main quest of the full game? It took me 72 hours to do the main quest, I did most of the side quests on the way when I came across them.

Has anyone done the quest in the main game where

Some survivors pretend one of them is pregnant & they keep asking you to get alcohol to help sterilise stuff, only to find they are having a party. :D

Was gutted you couldn't kill them :D

Yeah I thought you'd at least be able to steal it back, it was quite early on before I had 500 bottles of the stuff and I was pretty miffed
