Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Thanks will get through the main game and give you a shout if I'm still hooked!

Of course :) You can co-op through the main story as well. I'm currently working through the DLC with my brother despite having already completed it, I'm slightly addicted lol

i wasted about 15 minutes twice so after about 30 minutes of gameplay i deleted it.

no words...

I did the MQ ages ago, around 60 hours of play time to complete it - but still things to do if needed. I have not got round to looking at The Following yet and this thread reminded me about it, otherwise I had forgotten I had it...!

This has been one of the most amazing games that I have played in a long time, the graphics are the icing on a very big cake :) I just didn't think much of the scripted ending.

I hope that The Following is not the last of the DLC's, but I haven't read of anymore being developed...?

mmm just checked the Steam page and as I own the Following I doubt that means I get....

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition takes parkour-fueled zombie survival to a whole new level. Enjoy the definitive Dying Light experience with the brand-new Legend system, improved visuals, major gameplay enhancements, and more.

Read a bit more....

It would have been nice to have got this for free if you had previously bought the Base game and DLC etc or at least at a discount price, unless we have that already.?

I last finished the game back in 2015. Deleted all my saves etc....

Bought the Following and started up a new game. I've completed the prologue and am level 2.

Am I going to be OK playing the Following from this level? The recommended is 12. I read online you actually need the grappling hook to be able to progress in the DLC which at my level I obviously do not have yet.

Following takes place after the main game, storywise..if you find the main game fun, I would replay it. I did it for the following and enjoyed it loads, best zombie game ever.

Patch 1.12 Released

Patch 1.12 Release Notes

Dying Light fixes:
Various stability improvements (including co-op)
Minor tweaks and fixes
Various balance tweaks regarding Be the Zombie mode

Dying Light: The Following DLC fixes:
Fixed losing buggy parts after playing Be the Zombie
Fixed buggy paintjob replication
Minor fixes improving balance

Anyone able to provide me with a save game something over level 12 Survivor so I don't have to grind up to this level just to play the Following DLC?

I've already completed the game last year but didn't realise I couldn't just start the DLC....

Would be much appreciated.

Thanks

How do you get The Following if you have the standard base game?

It says on Steam that you "need Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition" to buy The Following, doesnt make sense!?

This: it's confusing me as well,

I have the original Dying light in my Steam library so in order to buy The following why is it telling me I need The Following Enhanced Edition in order to buy The Following
? what the heck sense is that ? what exactly do I need to buy to play this DLC ?

Dying light - the following enhanced edition is the base game on the new engine. It doesnt include the following dlc, which you can buy separately or get in the season pass.

Your base game should have updated itself to the following enhanced edition and you should be able to buy and install the dlc on top of it.

At least that's how i understand it...

That might explain it, I last played April/May last year so presumably the new engine patch will be applied when I reinstall it

Not correct. The Enhanced Edition includes *all* DLC for the game. It is essentially the 'GOTY' edition, but with other improvements, too.

I can only guess that the reason he's getting the message of needing the Enhanced Edition is because his base Dying Light game hasn't been updated/patched(as you said). When The Following(and thus the Enhanced Edition) came out, it had a major update for ALL users. Make sure it is up to date, cuz there's no reason it shouldn't work otherwise. It's exactly how I bought The Following after already owning the base game.

Yep, go ahead and reinstall it and I'm fairly confident it'll allow you to then buy The Following.

Bought this a few days ago when it was on offer and am loving it so far. Just wondering if its worth buying the few dlcs that don't come with the enhanced edition? Worth the £2 each?

The Harran Ranger one especially is tempting me if you get the bow straight away and dont have to jump through hoops for it. I like to use bows in games so it would be worth the £2 to add it I guess.
