They turned it up to 11 with the RAGE 2 promo - but can it deliver...

Though a very different RAGE from the first one in terms of style though with some familiar elements.

Games on my list:

rage 2
cyberpunk (didn't like witcher 3 but I like the setting of what cyberpunk will be)
state of decay 2
tomb raider
splinter cell
Assassins creed (too soon after origins though....)
the division 2
battlefield
metro exodus

Haha it is indeed but that is one excellent line-up regardless :D. I think TLOU2 will be amazing hyped so much for that hope it comes at E3 prey to the gods :P.

I would love to see a new well done Tenchu game. The original and its sequel on PS1 was incredible, I played it to death and pretty much mastered each level. I still have the original soundtrack I imported from Japan :D

I always felt Tenchu would make an excellent open world game, Witcher 3 style. Can you imagine playing as Rikimaru in a feudal Japan open-world setting, doing jobs for village locals, clashing with local corrupt lords and ronin samurai gangs Zatoichi-esque. You could be driven by a main storyline to track down the child heir of your Daimyo Gohda and have to cross mountain check-points into enemy territory to find clues and stuff to the child's whereabouts. Throw in some dark Buddhist occult (Onikage) and Shinto themes, your Ninjutsu could evolve as you meet wandering masters of old who teach new skills that combat demon spirits etc.

It would be an awesome game idea ....but it's unlikely to ever happen. I don't think Japanese developers have got the resources or the know how to do a game that big. They always tend to slip into anime like nonsense with cutesy models and super human characters with flashy anime finishing moves.

This list is actually all I want from E3. Also, some Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku (new Yakuza with a different protagonist) news would be great.

Half Life 3 of course.

(not an entirely serious post).

Valve really dumped on anyone who's supported them in the past with how they've been with HL3. Outright refusing to comment it and its now 11 years since episode 2 that finished on a big cliffhanger. Total farce. They've enough money to blow on flops like steamboxes and weird controllers but apparently finishing their flagship game is an impossibility, and last i read a lot of the key designers and story writers from the previous HL games left the company quite a while ago :(

Think the writing is on the wall for the HL series, they would much rather prefer to rake in money from steam and do as little actual game development as possible.

Steam aren't really a game developer and publisher anymore. And that saddens me. I also suspect the weight of expectation is just too high.
