Just got mine up and running now stock core temp report`s 12c idle 22c when i run ORTHOS,cant be right can it?

CoreTemp updated for these CPUs?

Try Intel TAT? What about BIOS?

I have the same problem and no it can't be right as the room is 23C and temp on one core is 21C.

Will give it a longer run later, obviously temps are not right but if it is say 64C then i will be happy.
Also TAT reports just 2 degrees more.

Ok quick overclock to keep you happy first try 4GB all i did was up my cpu v to 1.45 in the bios,dont moan ive not done any ORTHOS run`s yet

Mine does 4g and runs super pi with low volts but even 1.6 wont get it orthos stable, good luck man.

mine will post all the way to 4.2

3.7 wont even get me the windows logo..

even at 1.65vcore with vtt and ht pushed up by 0.1

im starting to think its my board...

Could be any number or reasons.

Your motherboard? The RAM you are using? Cooling? Skill at overclocking?

cooling isnt a problem, ram isnt even upto stock at 1:1

atm its at 375x9 , 400x9 is orthos stable, but any "real life" stress kills it

orthos for hour+ fine.. load any recent game, total lock up in seconds~few minutes : /

gtx is at stock aswell.

temps even at 1.65 (in bios - 1.59 actual) dont go over 60oC

with a 6320 in it was stable at 412.5x7

wich just leads me to blame my mobo and its inadequacy

will have to see if a new bios can fix things.. but there isnt a new one yet from the revision i have atm.

otherwise i'll just have to live with it :rolleyes:

These temps we are getting ARE NOT NORMAL, i would say they are at least 10C out mate but even then i will be happy with that.

I dunno if we need a mb bios update or whatever but i know for a fact it it is not right because it is cooler than my room ambient temp.

Had it 4 hr stable cpu 1.48v then a restart,TAT said when ORTHOS was running my cpu temp was 35c,rad,hose and cpu block was cold to the touch.

Im no master overclocker and im still learning as i go so i`ll stick at it and report back.

How are you running TAT on a nv680i chipset mobo???
