Lucky you already had a PCI E computer, I still have my old p4 skt 478 agp computer. I already have my 1900XT, it's sitting under my bed :( wish I could have been using it :mad:.

Thats the same cpu and same motherboard I'm getting. I am aiming at getting it to 3ghz so its looking good. What sort of temps are you getting and is that on defualt volts?

Oh and what bios version?

These chips are amazing. :D

You will walk 3Ghz, the temps there were 55 deg under duel prime load with 1.55v set in bios. I got upto 3.37 Ghz duel prime stable with default volts .

Im on bios 901 atm, not that it made any difference. Going to try the new 903 tonight.

any news on the bios flash

I currently have an AMD cpu don't have an old pent to throw in to update the bios is it still the same?

3 days and my parcel is still in the UK , what are they waiting for?

Top Marks to OCUK, i ordered one on Sunday evening and recievedd the order on Tuesday....

They sent me the wrong cooler, but again top marks for customer services, and they told me to keep the old one..... and i should be receiving the correcct one today....

So hopefully i'll finish the build tonight and see what it can do...

Unfortunately i'm a noob and aint got a clue bout overclocking....

This might exist already, but maybe one of you super overclocking brain boxes could post a thread with how to overclock a conroe.... I've seen the over overclocking threads... but they go over me head....
 
OK, here's to hoping today is the big day, though from my perspective actually, it's the worst time.

I have friends from overseas coming to stay today, until the middle of next week, and I was hoping I wouldn't have to spend one of those days sitting at home waiting for a delivery. Still, will be nice to get it here, even if it sits in a cupboard until they've gone ;)

My question was, I just checked my tracking status, still not sent, so I just had a flick through the OCers website, to check everything else is in stock (it is) :) and see that the P5B motherboard I ordered has dropped in price since I made my order (and of course the money taken)

It's only a £5, but still £5 is £5 ;)
Will overclockers refund the £5 drop in price, seeing as the order hasn't been shipped yet? If so, is this automatic, or should I call them to request it?

Good luck to everybody awaiting their Conroes tomorrow, and I hope sitting in waiting for Citylink doesn't drive you insane ;)

Spoke to a sales guy this morning who said my stuff should be out today.

I have 2 orders being held up one by the E6600 chip which he said was in stock and should be out today (yay hopefull)

The other is held up by the D6Q gigabyte board which he said was due in today and so should be shipped out today. Could anyone at OC confirm this is now in stock for pre-orders please.

I hope i can get it all tomorrow this is my first OCUK purchace and my first Full Computer Build :)

"A word of warning to those of you wanting to get a Conroe . Be aware of the fact that there is a BOX version and an OEM version. The BOX has a fan included. More importantly, if you order the OEM version, you "must order a fan on the same order!" Otherwise, you cannot return the item incase of a defect. I guess you will have to deal directly with Intel. I'll let you decide if that is a bad thing or a good thing."
