Easyriders Cinema Room

Hey those sockets are nice, but even nicer are the screwless version of that in black nickle - sooooooooooo sexy

Do a search for Crabtree Black Nickel screwless . . . . . :D

They look a lot sexier, and darker in the flesh

Agree with you on that one. I have the thin ones but with the screws showing. Also the black around the socket holes are a little more rounded. Well worth the money and look very smart :)

Looking great easyrider so far. How long did it take to design the setup, arranging where the wiring was going or are you just working it out as you going along?

I was thinking of putting a false wall in my bedroom to hide the TV wires etc but went with an easier method of putting a floating shelf between the wardrobe and TV to hide the wires. Looks great. No messy wires.

I now have the plasterboard up and around the window and door finished.

I filmed the floor being put in with my movie camera so I will get some stills from the movie camera to show you how I made the floor level and raised it and insulated it using 2" thick Polystyrene Blocks.

You can see the pictures of my helpers :p

All I need to do now is cut some holes for the speaker wire Banana plug sockets for the surrounds.

And cut a few for the coaxial cable and satalite cable.

That and finish the Led lights in the walls.

Check back tommorow when I will have more pics :)

Ringing the plasterer tommorow can't wait :D

That's awesome mate. When we eventually buy our own house we're aiming to do something very similar so will be following with great interest!

Ah, I see. It will look better to have a 'surround' around the HDMI wire coming from the ceiling instead of just a hole with the wire coming out of it.

Little things like this make all the difference, to me anyway. Everything has to be perfect. I have hardly any wires on show in my room and the ones that I cant avoid being on show, might sound stupid but I have them black so they match and blend in :p

Yeah thats what the white socket is for in the ceiling.

I'll be using a standard electrical blanking socket for the wire to pass through

Like this with a hole drilled through and a rubber gromet around the hole
