Forgot to mention that TAT doesn't work at idle temps with my setup for some reason.
Looking good Easy! Keep pushing
If you could show me those pics of how you insulated that would be great mate !
Any tips are welcome here, I'll be doing mine this week
heh.. enjoying then yes?
on that first pic is it showing +16c at load?
wouldn't be very comfortable with that tbh but if its wrong just ignore me.
nice i havnt seen many phase units around here
nice one on +4 gig
Push it some more!!!
I think I will change the way in which I have applied my thermal goop.
I have been advised to do so to see if this lowers the temps further
How have you done it ?
I've just got myself some Arctic Ceramique and was going to apply it as usual in a thin layer across the IHS with a Credit card.
I just did a thin line down the centre like I would with as5.
Unfortuately forgetting that it will freeze this way rather than spreading out in the usaly manner
I have reseated the head and goop and I'm now getting -8 full load and -23 idle.
Big difference from last night attempt -14idle and +16 load
so thanks for pointing it out matt100.
OC64 thanks also
That P180 & phase unit looking good easy
Push it some more . .
Glad you sorted the head out and goop. Starting to come together nicely! This is a really 'cool' thread! Cheesy or what!
^^^sorry i didn't realise how many [ages there were, the above was for simonnance
The point is :
whats the point of posting 8hr 4ghz runs when I have no intention of running the cpu that slow.
Its to test load temps and scaling on vcore to asertain my new setup capabilty.
maxed out the mobo, not the chip
1.7v in bios to see how the phase copes for when i get a 9x multi chip
Haha, you've silenced this critic.
That's a hell of an e6400 dude.
