Point to the movies and scan.

Then browse to the index.htl file created in the source directory on the playon

I'm deadly serious about this noob step business, i've heard mentions of YAMJ and I got the PlayOn today. I have absolutely no idea what i'm doing with it, I just want something nicer looking than a list of MKV and AVI files

Get the mini

Then get a 2TB external and plug it in the mini

Why have the laptop in the equation or the xbox?

Just get a HDMI splitter and just play from the mini using a external HDD

You are making something very very simple overly complicated!

The current GUI does make it look slightly cheap.

When the new on e is out this will be a bargain streamer as thats all that was lacking for me
