Easyrider's Playon HD mini review thread.

i was just going off spawns post of using avi file types.

what would you recommend easyrider?

Just rip the main movie to a vob file

Sorry to keep asking questions, but how does the playon HD mini compare to other media streamers like the WDTV and Asus one? Anyone got any views?

If it helps I'll mostly be streaming video files (mkv, vob, maybe the odd iso but normally convert them to a video file straight off).

Just get the playon.

Its cheap and plays all the files you need.

I don't think the GIGABIT is that much of a big deal tbh.

I have not noticed any problems with mine at all. The rest of my network is GIGABIT

Wireless and HD network streaming don't mix.

Hardwired is the way to go or stutter free flawless playback and searching and seeking

easyrider how does it handle streaming mkv's from a pc? A problem I've had in the past is streaming blurays wirelessly as it can't keep up with the bitrate

Its great. But I have mine connected via lan cable to my windows home server.
