Ebay returns problem

It must have been, otherwise that would have been a breach of description and a reason for Surfer to send it back for a full refund.

It was mentioned though seller said it was very strong and Pc repair shop said it came off when they tried testing the card.

Now i dont understand how a professional pc repair shop can mess up just testing if a graphics card works....either they didn't test it at all and just lied to me or i dunno.....

I'm pretty annoyed at them though...not much i can do because they tested it as a courtesy for me (ie they didnt charge because it was a 5 minute job though i wasnt there when they actually did the testing)

If its the listing I'm looking at then it was sold as described. Search the bay for AMD ATI Radeon HD 6770, ended listings finished July 21st, £41 + £5 p&p...

The guy did warn you he won't be ****** around ;).

Assuming you opened a case with eBay & returned the item then you will get a full refund regardless of whether they dispute it. eBay sides w/ buyer 99.9% of the time.

Just spoke to the pc repair shop on the phone. They've said they've received some abusive emails from the seller. The guy who tested the graphics card is actually the manager of the place so i dunno.

Video looks conclusive though. Only thing i thought is if he had plugged in the connector to the monitor slot and not the graphics card slot on the machine.

So either its a broken graphics card and the seller has done a pretty impressive job of making it look like its working.

OR the pc repair shop lied/incompetent and didnt test card or didnt test it properly.

OR the card didnt work for me or the pc repair shop but did work for the seller's pc - is that possible?

Where is MONK when you need him ehh!

I very much doubt he would go the trouble of making a video and then fraudulently do that. He looks like a good seller and has a good reputation looking at his feedback.

It's irrelevant, if you wan't a refund. eBay will give you one. Period. No need for any drama.

yeah but thats the problem with Ebay....genuine sellers get a raw deal by unscrupulous buyers. If the card works then i have no problems with taking it back. The money doesn't really bother me. However given all the abuse hes chucked at me i dont think i will be giving him positive feedback.

I don't get it. Unless you're in fear of him coming to your house or some such, you've as good as got your money back. The moment you escalate you have your money back..

And his shenanigans imo are completely unacceptable. Would I give money to a guy on the highstreet who was swearing his face off at me?.. **** no. At this point, regardless of whether it was working or not, the guy's a dick, and talking nonsense. He has no power over whether or not you get a refund lol, none whatsoever. It's so funny to me as a seller that he would spin that line. And the thing about his uncle, being clamped etc; he's got a live one, and he's reeeeeeling it in :D..

He's taken you on a journey, from your own certainty of the thing being faulty, to you now questioning not only your own logic, but the logic of the repair shop you took it to to have it tested. Bravo.

FYI - his abusive language is more than enough to gain him a strike on ebay..

You're a pushover.

I might take that stance if they had been reasonable. But being abusive forget that. Get the refund.

That's eBay, you win some you lose some. Life goes on.
