Ebay returns problem

Whilst I agree his behavior is way OTT, I've had numerous soundcards & GFX cards over the years that work fine in one machine but not in another, despite both machines being fine with the others components!

I would certainly leave very negative feedback!

You should escalate the claim if you haven't already done so.

His vulgar language and threats of violence is totally unacceptable. You should definitely leave negative feedback.

how do you escalate this on ebay? In the claims there is no option for this? Every option just seems to point to a different FAQ (same also applies when you try to phone ebay)

The resolution centre doesn't have any options where you can escalate a claim?

edit: according to ebay community the escalate option should be there after 7 or 8 days. Well its been 20 days since i opened the case its still not there?
Another guy said that you have to close the case then the option to escalate appears....but i dont seem to have the option to close the case either hrmmm

i had already looked at all the options on the thread you linked, unfortunately none of them helped. :(

No option to escalate anywhere i can see in the resolution centre...unless i'm going blind haha


edit: after hunting about a bit on the website managed to message customer service and put the item details in the message...so will see if they get back to me.

Try sending an email to eBay with details of the claim etc, they'll probably take a couple of days to get back to you though. At least you'll know whether you can or can't escalate!

Actually, there might be an option on the PayPal transaction?

Yeah paypal have a dispute process as well as ebay. I thought since i have already started the process with ebay that it would be quicker to continue with that. If i open a dispute process with paypal then it starts the whole process again probably take around 25 - 30 days to complete.....

Oh, I thought as PayPal is now owned by eBay that the dispute process interlinks between the two. My mistake :)

Sometimes a quick way to get past that is to just not press anything. It times out assuming you haven't got a phone capable of sending the key presses and puts you through to real life person.

So it looks like to avoid having to refund me he has closed his paypal account and setup another one.

But my question is: there is no option to escalate my case and this has been going on since around 2nd August.. in the help section it says to escalate but where exactly is the button to press? Pics would be good :D

I tried report item and report seller which allowed me to at least message Ebay but no response from Ebay as yet
 
well i am over the 45 day deadline with paypal so cant dispute it there.
I'll post on ebay community forums. But there has been no way for me to escalate this unfortunately :(
 
Take the money and leave decent feedback for the seller.

He has gone that extra yard and proven to you the card works as advertised. Are you really that sensitive that a few swear words have that much of an effect on you ?
 
i guess you haven't read the thread? Done that already......

from what i have read, you have dithered around so long, that its too late to escalate with anyone. he could keep the money and the card and give you nothing, and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

take his offer quickly before he realises this.
