Edinburgh Meet March 2006

Right think i'm going to have to change my gameplan now due to lack of funds, what's the plan for the saturday ? What's going down during the day, as that's probably all i can afford. Bus ticket through, lunch and a few bevvy's is going to be the limit of my funds. Scotland vs Italy match will be on, should be good to watch!

I had been looking forward to coming and meeting everybody.
But I had to put life in perspective, and accept that the love of my very caring and wonderful girlfriend was something I couldn’t afford to lose.
Without turning this in to a relationship thread, there will be more opportunities to see all you guys, and I hope that both myself and the future Mrs manor

So is the plan for Friday (daytime) to check in at hotels, meet for a spot of lunch (and perhaps a wee snifter) and then do the touristy visit to Edinburgh Castle? Then back to hotels to make ourselves beautiful for our evening meal and a night on the town?
Entry (already posted in the thread I beleive) is £10.30, however, if you are planning on doing any other travelling in Scotland then Historic Scotland membership might be an idea as it is only £36.

That's a good plan for the Friday, unluckily due to time differences (ie we've not been on at the same time) I've not been able to chat to Vixen this week to work out exactly what's happening but she's was booking bowling for (I think) 7PM on Saturday evening.

We'll be arriving at the airport at about 11.00 (flight gets in at 10.30) on Friday and make our way into town, I think Feek is due around the same time, maybe the 4 of us can get a cab into town together?
We're up for all the activites and happy to be led around all weekend as long as there is beer and good food involved

I'm happy to meet up still with the early arrivals and do the touristy bit on the Friday and we just need to decide a central meet up point. At the moment choices are
1. Meet at the Castle area
2. Meet at the tourist information centre at Princes Mall/square in front at an arranged time, then have a slow walk up to the Castle. This tourist centre is right next door to the Balmoral Hotel and is above Waverly Station on Princes Street.
Let me know which you prefer and i will be there to act as guide.

From what I remember, Feek gets in shortly after me and I land at 12:30 so maybe we'll meet you in town rather than at the Airport?
