Edinburgh Meet March 2006

I just realised this meet is happenening and i want to go :)

Was at the last edinburgh mini meet and that was a good laugh. I will be along on the Saturday but no bowling for me as im crap at it.

Whats the deal with accomidation anyone know what hotels to try, i just live about 20mins from Edinburgh but its a nightmare getting home at night.

FAO Sormicoft,

Rob mate, you still going and can i still tag along? Although i think i'm going to be saturday only. You still got the same plan as before? Give us a shout on msn.

Sorry but can I be taken off the list please, I'm afraid I'm going to have to wuss out due to having much less money than expected and a lot of mates coming to Dundee for St Paddys day who I haven't seen for months. Hope everyone has a great time :)

Looks like its going to be a quiet one, but we should still have a lot of fun.

Feek I have some beer here for you :)

With the forum users who are going i am not sure quiet is the right word :p insanity possibly ;)

Anyways onto Friday and doing the touristy bit i am still willing, or insane more likely, to act as mini tour guide around Edinburgh. I just need to know where, when all you early arrivals want to meet up.

Burbleflop is also arriving at around the same time, so that's at least five of us who will be needing to get into the city centre. Taxi will be a bit crowded unless we get a mini van type so the bus could be a cheap and easy (although slower) option.

My flight (EZY235) is due in at 12:45, I think I'm the last of the lunchtime arrivals. A quick blat into town, throw bag into room and I'm ready...

SCM - Yes, that would be absolutely great :)

Just advanced warning Edinburgh is very and windy at the moment so bring warm clothes. It gets colder quickly at night and it's been peeing with rain most nights.

Weather warning brought to you by me.

To add, if you believe the weather forecast, we seem to be in for mainly cloudy weather in Edinburgh on Friday and Saturday. I would expect this to be wrong but you never know.

So as Blackstar says bring warm clothes and expect the worst :p

I would assume jeans and shoes will be ok but depends on the club at times, not 100% as not been out to Edinburgh at nights for about 5 years or more.

Are we going clubbing?

Not sure on the going clubbing part MB as depends on what everyone wants to do on the night, just some might be picky with dress code. We can see how it goes on the night.

Majority of pubs are fine jeans, shoes wise and pubs will be better as lot cheaper than the clubs drinks wise. I'd prefer pubs as lots to choose from and plenty chances to sit, chat and have a good laugh.

I'm happy in a pub with a late licence but will go with the flow
