Are you guys talking about Jimmy Chungs?

Nah, I think they mean Chinois, which is a sister restaurant of China China.

Feek - the Piries Hotel was alright as I remember it. My aunt got married there many years ago. She's not married anymore, but this had nothing to do with the quality of the welcome she received ;)

Aye, I stayed at the Piries many years ago, it was OK then.

Regarding scoff, the meet needs to be Vixen friendly, that's an absolute essential.

I'm not sure about the idea of a club though. It won't be a big group and clubbing isn't exactly the best way to actually talk to each other.

The Potter film interests me though, even though it's not exactly the best way to actually talk to each other! *oooops* Maybe those who are interested could sneak off to a matinee viewing (probably only two people that I can think of).

Blasphemy :p

There is a cinema within the OMNI centre if you guys do end up going there - think it is a Vue.
Not blasphemy it really is rank.
Yes its a vue cinema = quite expensive for everything but its nice
A you vegie vixen? I think you are, pizza hut in the OMNI or the really nice italian restraunt but if its a weekend the whole place will be packed especially if Harry Potter opens that weekend.
My advice is the really nice little restraunts over the road from omni, much nicer and quieter.

Harry Potter smells !

I vote for a pub where we can all meet and talk and get to know who you don't know. I think I will only have met Feek before and nobody else, so the more socialising the better.

As for scoff, Vixen friendly sounds good.

Do many people want to go to the Omni Centre? It's a good half an hour or more to walk from there back to where Feek will be staying (and me too). I'd be much happier keeping near Lothian Rd, as it's getting really cold at night and the walk back from Leith Street would not be fun.

As far as food is concerned, there is Pizza Hut, a little Italian place on Lothian Rd or various chip shops/bar meals.

I'm not really bothered where we go, but I also am not keen on a long walk back afterwards. I just don't want to do a club for reasons mentioned above.

Pyro - You've not read the first post fully, I'm working in Edinburgh on the Friday and am just extending my return flight by 24 hours so it's not a flight just for a few beers (although it's not such a bad idea ;))

Not if I can make it ;)

Stan :)

I've trawled the thread as best I can and I've added two lists to the first post that I think are accurate.

If I'm wrong, post to correct me.

Shame you can't make it, Stan :(

Umm, I may have done something stupid today :( I'll either be driving now, so no drunken Vix, or going home early so I can be up early.
