Now number 2 on steam list. If anyone wants this for 35 by Saturday just set up an Amazon prime trial and get it delivered for free on a Saturday.
 
I've never played this series before, but after seeing a post on reddit I really want to get this game. Are there any discounts on it?

Is it really system heavy, and will a n00b like myself get into it quite easy? I love sci-fi and the way this game looks.
 
Another zavvi failure here too. Still processing in warehouse on the day it's supposed to ******* arrive!

Usually X games have a learning curve like a brick wall, how ever, rebirth looks like it's been dumbed down somewhat to make the game more accessable to new players.

Considering the complaining that went on with the 64bit only BF4 beta, it would appear people still are! The CPU and RAM requirements are quite high for this game, which doesn't overly surprise me seeing as the whole universe is dynamic. I guess keeping track of thousands of ships can be a little taxing on a system.
 
Having been stung by Zavvi before, I'm glad I resisted the temptation to go for the £24.99 price and went for the £29.99 one on Amazon. I suspected both would rise but Amazon are big enough to honour the price usually. Copy was dispatched yesterday and should be here today according to their email. Shame I won't get home until the early hours of tomorrow!
 
For those that have their physical copies, you can still preload. I didn't get the option to when I entered my CD key in steam but if you right click the game in the library the option to preload is still there. Its only 4.5gb so it shouldn't take long.
