No reviews, no pre-order discount, a bad track record and Dota 2 update, all contribute to me waiting a while for this. If you've got it, be sure to let us know how it is, but I'm not subscribing to the pre-order just because this time around... Have done that far too much!
 
One of my mates pre-ordered Rome 2 and Ghosts.

He cancelled this one as he didn't want three in a row :) Although I bet he turns up at my house tomorrow night for a shot!
 
I got burnt by Rome 2 but I've got faith in Egosoft for this game. From watching all their videos it seems to be exactly what I like, large, open, complex simulated universe.

I'd of been annoyed if I had preordered rome 2, it was a little broken! If you find your friend is still there in the moring having 'a shot', I suggest you make him go out and buy it!
 
I posting this as bookmark for when I get back home this evening at which point I want to see no less then 5 pages of complaints of how broken the game is and how many bugs there are, lol.

Looks like a fantastic game, so glad they have sorted out the menu system, that always bothered me in X3:TC, not to mentioned the lack of CPU scaling which brought the game down to a crawl at times.
 
The graphics on this game look really amazing :D

Tempted to pre-load/pre-order it on steam but think I'll wait for some gameplay reviews etc.

The space cities look so pretty :) reminds me of blade runner
 
Hope my copy arives tomorrow, i'll be disapointed if it doesnt, got the day off as im getting a new electric meter fitted at home. I even took the time to get my xbox contraller connected ready for this game, i belive it's compatable.
 
If you already have the box version did you know you can play it now? On the egosoft forums it explains how to do it.
 
Hopefully zavvi have either shipped the box or will tell me that it is cancelled. Want to start this downloading in the morning if they cant fulfil the order. Useless.
