Egypt shark attack

Obviously tragic, what his nationality or thoughts about a conflict (that have been influenced by exposure to propaganda) have to do with the tragic nature of his death is beyond me. Anyone taking pleasure in it is sick.
Some very small minded people out there considering we know absolutely nothing about the poor guy other than his place of birth.

He should have done like Paul Sykes did and punched it in ear hole.

Seriously though, I saw 2 shark videos last week, this one, and another were a shark (or 2) swallowed up 2 sets of people on kayaks. Luckily it spat them both out. But they had minor injuries.

Haha! Sykes was comedy gold

Jesus, he was a lucky boy. Though it was likely his dangling leg drew the sharks attention!

Edit: not sure I’d be kayak fishing anywhere near tiger shark territory!!

Video is obviously bad in that you are watching a man die but there are infinitely more shocking and graphic videos on the internet. Was expecting far worse based on the reactions i've seen on teh internet.

Yeah I don't get it. You hardly see a thing. I've seen some horrible, horrible things on the internet and this is very tame. Is it the fascination with it being a shark perhaps. Not sure.
At least it was over fairly quickly for him if there is any consolation. :(

I think it is just the psychological nature of it. The ocean always has a mysterious air about it being so big and environment we are not adept to. We know it is a dangerous place, but we can't easily observe under the surface. With shark attacks it is a literal horror story - some gigantic beast with a mouth filled with massive razor sharp teeth comes from the deep, dark depths and starts ripping you to shreds in and the water literally turns red

You couldn't come up with a worse nightmare scenario . Vending machines kill more people per year than sharks... (i double checked), but they don't have the same nightmare death scenarios

Yeah. Father most likely is going to need counselling after that. As you say, it's one of the most horrific ways to die. I think being eaten alive has added horror because we don't expect it being the top of the food chain on earth.
