It was a tiger shark, and those are the worst type of shark as they eat anything if they feel like it, they even eat each other, in the womb..... Guy just ended up on the heads side of the coin flip that day sadly.Do sharks maul? I thought they kinda teared and bit, Mauling i kinda think of a bear....
Moby Dick was based on a true story, a large sperm whale sunk whale-ship Essex in 1819!I can remember a dodgy TV film where the shark grew legs and chomped everyone. Had nightmares for days.
The very shark was later captured and literally clubbed to death by locals (there's a video).
and how do you think the shark felt, being dragged out its home and beaten to death?
Quint from Jaws was a survivor of the IndianapolisTiger sharks are the worst for attacks on humans.
You must have read about the USS Indianapolis?
Isn't there more than that? I know one Orca, killed three people, Tilikum? There are no known incidents on any record of Orcas killing humans out in the wild, only about 2 incidents from Orcas in captivity - Which is fair game as such animals should never be in captivity. They just don't care about humans for whatever reason. People have been recorded on video swimming alongside Orcas without issue, not that anyone should obviously.
Bull sharks are another that spring to mind.Tiger sharks are the worst for attacks on humans.

I didn't say the wild, he said captive and that's what I was referring to. Tilikum killed 3, and one other Orca killed another. So that's 4 incidents in captivity, not 2.Only one other captive orca has killed anyone. No attacks in the wild.

I thought the same - I'm sure there were more incidents involving captive orcas.Isn't there more than that? I know one Orca, killed three people, Tilikum?
Not all creatures. Sadly, captivity is vital for some species survivalMaybe more, I'd only ever read about two, either way, none in the wild which is the main talking point. Keep such creatures in captivity and you deserve what you get so no sympathy from me there.
