Eid Mubarak

Kusme im feeling the same as yo bro exactly the same, usually eid with my dads side all boys and we all cool so this year with my mom so boring...............all girls, atmosphere feels like a funeral, no buzz.................its messed up:( so much for all the hype this year its still early though lets see what the day brings insha allah

sunnah - what the prophet muhammad (PBUH) said and did.

Stupid question, not taking the pee and not really 100% relevant to this thread but seeing as it's continued to be reasonably sensible, I'd like to ask a question about this "prophet muhammad" remark.

What is said, word for word, when people say "prophet muhammad"? It's usually followed by something like "Praise him be" or something (maybe that's what the PBUH was for in shaffaaf's post.

And Why (apart from I guess a mark of respect) is this said 'sometimes' and not others. Is there a general rule of thumb of when it's to be said?

Sorry, just genuinly curious.
