Eizo FORIS FS2735 IPS 27" 144hz 2650x1440 - Freesync

Yea i think it was all then years of counterstrike damaging the eyes? Im like you the only thing i think looks sharp is 24 inch panels preferably doing Nvidia DSR 4k at 120hz plus i found 120hz isnt able to do it anymore so going 240hz again soon. Its just that little step up from 27 144hz that eases all symptoms like you had.

thanks, I might pick up a 240hz display to see if it helps.

I sound like a broken record but i find FPS games now unplayable without 240 gsync. Have a look at the Gigabyte Aurous 240hz on pre order at ocuk it is one of the new 0.5ms panels so it will be a bit better than the first gen i had for a while and works with Nvidia or AMD.

My original 240hz broke and i have been waiting for like a year for these 0.5ms panels so thats how highly i rate it, Well worth a try on DSR terms. You will find the blur also is about equal to the tech Eizo used to strobe also.

I have found that dropping the refresh rate to 100hz has cured my eyestrain.

I tested on the dell 144hz tn also by dropping to 100hz and found the same to avoid placebo.

Strange, it may be that since having my eyes lasered that I am just more susceptible.

In other news the monitor works fine with the 2070s fe in gsync compatibility mode.

Nice one even if that is strange, I have been thinking about lasek too for the gaming eyestrain but i plan to wait a little yet.

Maybe its the strobing? Also does laser eye treatment mean 20/20?

If you use a wavefront enabled treatment you have a good chance of 20/20. I ended up with better than 20/20 at 20/18 but as my eyes are large i also picked up a permanent side effect of haloing around bright lights at night. It was well worth the trade.
