Have you had your medical too? I seem to remember my family all had chest X-rays before going (to check for TB).

Nah, that's another part of the paperwork. Had a medical only recently but need to get it done by an "approved" doctor. I'd hope at the ripe old age of 26 there isn't anything wrong

It is indeed mate, anything from 3-6 months from being selected to actually being able to move and that's if you don't have any problems. Still, 3-6 months isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things and the getting selected is the only part where you can really be knocked back so we should both be in NZ soon!

Quick question, do points for a postgrad degree (55 I think) overwrite points for undergrad (50), or are they added?

Nelson is the most boring place in NZ, Banks Peninsula is beautiful but a little isolated.

Nelson is the other half's preference, personally I think Christchurch will be a good initial fit and we'll see where we end up from there!
