Would only be able to take planes out the sky if the controls in the cockpit are electronically connected to the flaps. I wouldn't even notice an EMP in the planes i fly

EMP could be useful, but not really as a large scale weapon of attack in cities, best case scenario in a war you want to eliminate the enemy but leave their infrastructure intact, EMP does the opposite, it eliminates the infrastructure and leaves the enemy intact.

Yer, i would need to jumpstart the car, but if sparkplugs are fine then the dynamo should be good to keep the car running.

It's a pulse, but that pulse burns out all the IC's in everything....
EMP weapons are all well and good in movies and games but for modern warfare there is really no need, besides possibly a massive need for preventative measures regarding nukes etc and unless you REALLY want to bring an entire city or even a nation to a stand still for years and probably indirectly harm millions of innocent people.
