employer not paying me

and where will i pay the tax from the work i have done seeing as he isnt, and i have to pay NI tax aswell

As you pay NI on earnings over £105 a week you will only have 9p NI to pay so that's not a massive problem.
Also if you're previous earnings have been at a similar level there will be very little tax as well (26p ish)

Just so you don't feel too bad about not paying tax - there isn't a lot of it!

As others have said though report the employer to HMRC.

Also you say you need the job but if he's not paying you it's pointless working for him. You'd be better off sitting at home with no job and not getting paid than working and not getting paid.

he did not ask for my NI number.

i have asked at tescos sainsburys asdas morrison....no work.

maybe i shall ask again

You're in London, something isn't right.

Make a CV, check their websites for jobs, look approachable (ie dress sense/style), polite, etc

would the manager no verufy that you worked the 23 hours.

Maybe you could explain to him that surely he paying you said monies are worth you not contacting the inland revenue. If he gives you the money just contact them anyway.

many a time i have. even my current manager said she accepted me on the basis of my CV not ever seeing me before nor an interview.

so im sure my CV is good.

but i did ask around march last time, ill go again now.

i think i got a result or hes being sly:

i work in a computer repair shop, typically owned by a **** (yes i am one, and no i dont mind anyone else using the term) and he is a sly man, (typical of rich ****'s)

i came to his shop at 5

his shop closes at 6

i said untill he agrees to pay me i wont leave

he left at 6, leaving two employees there with me

one of them needed help assemlbing a computer, so i help

he comes back at 8, and the employees are wondering why he is so **, never have they had to work 2 hours after close time

then hes all nice saying ill pay you on sunday, dont worry, ill call you...

im thinking hes surpirsed that im still there 3 hours later, so hes trying to sweeten things so i go

so i left and we shall see. if no call on sunday, monday is the day he shall rue he messed with a poor 18yr old kid who needs money to pay for bills.

oh and i was posting all the other posts from that shop.

thanks guys, u lot are brilliant.

I don't get this. You did sign an employment contract didn't you? In that case he is surely in breach of contract? If you didn't sign a contract then why the hell are you working? No contract = No work, imho.

Employer doesn't have his NI number = no contract.

I worked a couple of months for a place with no contract, payed reguarly every week. Worked out alright as I left without needing to give notice.

Have some respect dude, it is not typical of all rich Apna to behave like this. You are basing that off most probably take-away and small shop owners.

If you went to work for any small shop you need to cover yourself and clearly you did not. You can't blame it on being a certain race or belief.

There is also enough extreme views on none whites here so if you can, say Pakistani or Asian and not the other word so change it.

yar, from what i have seen, from my dads side, its true.

more karachite people dont do this, but my whole dads side and hi mare lahore people, and thats how they role.

btw he owns a takeaway restraunt aswell
