Enable Frame Gen on 3000 series cards - Such as The Witcher 3

GHOSTING FIX : AVATAR/THE WITCHER 3 ETC

Apparently, using the latest DLSS 3.1 you are more likely to get ghosting, however this is fixed in the older version DLSS 2.5.1

Back up your original DLSS and downgrade to 2.5.1 see if it fixes the issue

Download : NVIDIA DLSS DLL 2.5.1

Also, you can use the latest version of dlss and swap out the presets:

PS. for swapping out dlss, DLSS swapper is great tool.

My cyberpunk won’t let me enable the frame gen setting even though I’ve transferred all the files then run the disable file, does it matter that I’ve left them all in the sub folders? I just extracted straight from the downloaded zip to where the exe is for CP

Also what’s the best settings to use for this, there’s a stupid amount of resolution scaling & RT options etc

You need to put them in the Bin folder

Finally had chance to give this a whirl, testing with Cyberpunk. Ok, I’m impressed! No ghosting issues that I can see, big boost to fps, can’t really tell if there’s any lag (but I’m not particularly sensitive to lag, or probably cant tell!). I went straight back to dlss 2.5.1 so haven’t tried it with the latest 3.5.10 or whatever it is.

One thing to note - I had to turn on gpu hardware scheduling otherwise it wouldn’t work.

Now to test with W3, MSFS2020 and Hogwarts Legacy.

Build 0.81 Latest
Builds have been moved to Nexus Mods.
Download link: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files (dlssg-to-fsr3-0.81 under Main Files)
Installation instructions are the exact same. You can keep using video guides. Moving to Nexus Mods is to make my life easier.

0.81:

Fixed GPU hangs in certain games with major scene transitions (e.g. The Witcher 3).
Miscellaneous smaller stability fixes and error checking.
Added the ability to rename nvngx.dll to version.dll, winhttp.dll, or dbghelp.dll to avoid the registry key signature override requirement.

I've been dabbling with Nukem9's FSR3 mod as noted in the graphics card FSR3 thread, and only just got around to trying LukeFz's - it's way more complicated to set up vs Nukem's but I got it working in Spiderman Remastered on my Steam Deck (Nukems mod wont work on the deck as it only works with Nvidia GPUs as we know).

However I'm confused, is there no way to turn it on or off using the in game frame gen option? The frame gen option is just greyed out, even though frame gen is clearly working, and working well! With Nukem 9's mod the in game frame gen option is selectable in many games and you can therefore turn frame gen on or off easily in game, on the fly.

Am I missing something, or is this just how LukeFZ's mod is? Hope not as that's a right ball ache....

Worked a treat, gained about 20 fps but with settings turned up slightly as well, steady 70fps on a 3080 at 4k resolution. Was hovering mid to high 50s before so was playable, but now got a decent cushion to keep it at least 60fps.

LSFG 1.0 is a new competitor to DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0, enables Frame Generation in all PC games on all GPUs

Not free, so will wait for a "leaked" version ;)

No go if you have a VRR monitor:

From the looks of it, LSFG is not compatible with VRR monitors. According to its description, the game MUST be locked to half your monitor’s refresh rate for proper frame pacing. The appearance of any overlay above the LS window may also disrupt frame generation until LS is deactivated.

No go if you have a VRR monitor:

Will stick with Nukem's then which is working perfectly for me... And on that note!

0.90:
BIG UPDATE :

Added a universal zip archive for maximum game support. Separate READ ME.txts are included within each folder. Registry key tweaks are not required.
Universal DLLs now automatically disable the EGS overlay due to hooking conflicts.
Universal DLLs now bypass GPU architecture checks for stubborn games (Dying Light 2, Returnal).
HDR luminance values are now queried from the active monitor, falling back to defaults when necessary.
Fixed GPU driver crashes in Dying Light 2 with universal DLLs.
Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling status is now logged.

Much as I'm a fan of 'free' performance and innovative tech, after deep diving into Nukem9's and LukeFZ's FG mods over the last few weeks, I'm not sure how I feel about all this.

I think we are in for a weird and rough period of PC performance with games being spec'd out well above the means of the vast majority of PC gamers out there and the prols having to rely on somewhat dodgy frame generation and upscaling tech that really isn't up to the task, and won't be for quite a while.

I think it's going to get messy.

With what?

PC spec is an I7 11700k, 3080 and 16gb RAM, got the graphics settings on AMD 2.1 balanced, ray tracing on medium (but local shadows and path tracing off), and rest of settings on high. Without frame gen I'm about 45 to 48fps, but with it turned on around 70 to 75fps, all at 4k res (got game on now and double checked the numbers).
