That first datapoint is always a bit strange on the 10 min graph, always sits at 0. Probably either related to incomplete stats for that first 10 in period or just the way the graph is generated based on incomplete stats
 
Have to see what Hunt says in a min but reports that the energy price guarantee will end in April, so potentially we'll have high interest rates and even higher energy prices next year.

but what script is Lizzy going to follow then? Does she go full on 'war in Ukraine' mode, or does she scrape the barrel and go back to the fastest vaccine rollout?
 
Liz is ****** if they scrap the energy price guarantee, because that's her response to every single question.

High interest rates, high energy prices, high everything. That's what Britain is all about.

BBC just revealed "almost all" of the tax changes will be reversed though.

* Corporation tax change gone as announced Friday
* Health and social care levy gone
* Dividend tax rate gone
* New VAT free shopping scheme gone
* Basic rate staying at 20p, not even going down in 2024 to raise around £32bn/year
* IR35 change gone
* Energy price guarantee only running until April now.
* Stamp duty cut being retained

The energy cap is about the only thing that would hold them in office. If they get rid of this then they're throwing most of the country under the bus.
 
Good about tax.
But shortening the price cap time is going to be of much concern to so many people.

Maybe (hopefully) prices will naturally have calmed down over summer.
I believe its possible. Where's that solar quote? :D

Oh yeah I will, no doubt. Don't worry though I'm getting £600 a year back thanks to the NI scrap.

Im £5000 a year worse off mortgage wise, and £3000 a year worse off energy wise. LOL. (not actually funny).

I expect they will do what other countries are doing and to not price it based on the gas price. It will bring the price down a lot.

Don't see how Truss stays now. Hunt is in charge.
 
Gas prices could changes incredibly quickly.

Almost any price is on the cards.
Peace with Ukraine, global recession. Both would be expected to bring price down.
