It's rarely worked for England when we have stuck a player who has been injured most of the season in at the end for a tournament. They always pedal out the 'but they are rested because they haven't played for months' which totally ignores the fitness level required to compete at the top level especially for a tournament. Amazing player but not worth the risk over what we already have.

He isnt better then James. You have to have more then simply being good defensively which itself can be debated with him. If we play 3 cbs then not taking Trent and James is scandalous.
 
But if walker plays a centre right back, then you have James and Bisaka, Trent is great but this has been a bit off the ball. Like I said a wealth, so it's a shame but he's not exactly crap a solid show in United defence all season and has scored a few.

Bissaka isnt very good off the ball from what ive seen. Regularly gets caught napping.

If you take Bissaka and James over Trent then well i dont know what to say to you. Especially if the full backs will be playing a more attacking role.
 
I don't think it's as clear cut as you say. Both same age, both played the same amount of goals this season and played the same amount of games.
Both teams have same goal against defensive record, +1 and aside from United scoring more they're both Top 5.
James has the better defensive record of the 3. Based solely on stats, Trent would lose. I haven't spent all season scrutinising defenders to the nth degree so from the games I've caught I don't have your pessimism.

Trent is a generational talent. There isnt many teams in the world he doesnt start for...Bissaka absolutely isnt.

AWB is not capable of playing like Trent did last night.

But he's suspect defensively. I guess having 3 cb's and 2 cdm's kind of makes up for that though.
 
Phil Foden needs to go I think. If he has a good tournament he could even earn a move to a big club. (I’m kidding guys)

Trent needs to go, and start. He’s come back from a bit of a slump and is playing as well as he ever has.

It does, in other words you didn't see it you read a piece somewhere and then spouted about poor finishing. Thanks for the clarification. I suggest you watch the highlights to see the chances he had.

I absolutely have seen it and i havent got the time to go through them for you. I have other things to do and ive already said i will respond later.

This is the thing - Trent is head and shoulders above everyone going forward, as Thursday's match exemplified. If we're playing 3 ATB then he should be in on the right, given what he offers going forward. If we play 2 ATB then Walker gets my vote at right back.

AWB forward game has come on heaps this season. He is better than James easily. In fact he has more goals and assists than him.

My first two picks would be Trent and Walker but AWB would absolutely be my third option.
