He always plays like this, no matter the situation. Even if India need to bat out 3 overs to secure a draw, he'll try to hit sixes.

If Zaheer hadn't been injured, I honestly reckon that England wouldn't have reached 350, and then this score wouldn't have been so bad. If India can hold out for the first two tests, having Sehwag AND Zaheer back for the 3rd and 4th tests will be a true show of India's no1 status.

Thinking about it, that was a bit selfish in the end from Kumar, he should have stayed to help Dravid to 100.

Zaheer looked a bit stiff when he was bowling. If India were going to rely on him so much they should have let him play a bit before this series. Do you know what he did before the series?
One man by the sounds of it. Sehwag is an on/off player! Either makes a million or makes 0 runs.

When a team's BEST batsman and BEST bowler are missing, they're not going to be their best.
It's like Sri Lanka without Murali, their bowlers don't look like hitting the gym let alone hitting the stumps.

I understand what you mean, and I was having this debate with a friend earlier. Sehwag is the most destructive batsman in the history of the game. India can manage more easily without Sachin than they can without Sehwag.

After Anderson though, I don't think any of our seamers are 'great'. Pretty good yeah, but they're all much of a muchness.
I don't think our bowlers are terrible, but much like you, our strength is in our batting.
