Broad only really seems to bat well when England are under the cosh. I do wish they're concentrate on his batting and give him a rest from bowling for a short while, because he has such potential to be an amazing all rounder.

This is a great stand from these guys, ticking the score board over. This is why England are such a good team at the moment. Ok the openers and middle order have had a bad innings, but there is always someone in the line up that can bat it out when needed.

This is it, with no disrespect intended.. against Bangladesh, Pakistan (Tests anyway) and such, Broad should be batting 5 to develop his skills.

Totally. I'd rather see Broad at 5 with Bell coming in at 6. That would send out such signals to any opposing team, and also give the England team such confidence in their line up (not that they don't have confidence in buckets at the moment anyway).

Cant see based on the team today, but someone posted before the series on the RAWK (football forum) cricket thread that Eng and India over the last 2 years are pretty much like for like in terms of average.
 
Broad and Swann have really turned this around. If we'd been rattled out for 140ish they'd have been so far ahead there'd have been nothing left but to play for a draw. 200ish is still not a great score, but we can defend it and fight back.
