England V India ***Clash of the Heavyweights*** Test, T20 and ODI Series

Harbhajan might not get another over!

Time to start looking towards the draw imo, looking at the weather for tomorrow++ we won't enjoy the same environmental help that India have had the joys of.
I agree with Mr Holding, not sure i like a toss influencing a game to this extent.

Dhoni is usually awful with the toss though! I think that as much as the toss, it's the brilliant balls being bowled by the seamers.

I remember once Dhoni lost something like 15 ODI tosses in a row  he still won the majority of matches in that period though!

Yes Morgan hasn't been great lately. It is fine when the team is doing well but when he comes in with England in trouble he doesn't seem to settle quickly.

Not sure who else would come in - probably Ravi Bopara.

Well if they drop Morgan I hope they pick James Taylor but sadly I suspect they would pick Bopara, even though Bopara has proved time and time again that he isn't upto Test match standards.

Is it a bowling wicket or have we just been rubbish (I'm guessing both)? I had to do a double take just now when I saw we were 93-6.

Dont agree at all, the England squad are 100% responsible for this situation, they've come into a pitch doing more then the first day at Lords, and tried to bat completely differently.
Idiotic tactics, idiotic batting

There's swing on offer and the pitch has bounce, plus a few poor shots from England's batsmen. And yet I have a mate (who is very knowledgeable on cricket) who will tell me that it's easier to bat on bouncy pitches than slow pitches

Wicket's moving a lot, but its not any worse then Day 1 lords were.
Most our batsmen come in and quickly get out playing shots you shouldn't be considering in such conditions.

I still back England to get to 150 and beyond though, given the batsmen to come that's where they should be aiming.

Bell is the main man, he needs to get big runs for us to reach any sort of respectable score, luckily he just got dropped.

Welcome to Indian cricket :p

I haven't watched India much but presumed that they got number 1 in the world from being consistent, I was clearly wrong :p

I find it funny that there was so much fuss about Khan not playing yet India are doing fine without him...

I don't understand. I thought that from your previous post, you said that losing the toss had influenced this score most?

As I type, dropped catch :(

Yes and no, the toss is huge here don't get me wrong. But the batsmen have to take responsibility for not playing as you should in these conditions.
So what if you reach stumps on 95 - 2, better then being 120 all out when the weather is so nice tomorrow.

Ahhh, I understand what you mean now.

I think that there has been some silly shots like playing outside off stump when it's not necessary etc, and that's has got England into all sorts of trouble now.

Sorry show.

Yeah, the conditions are difficult but these are test level batsman, supposedly the best in the world. Bell, Strauss and KP even got in; they should have built proper innings after that.

I'm hoping we can scrape out 160.

"Shouldn't really have played at that" one sentence to sum up our innings

Don't worry, I can see all batsmen, other than Dravid, struggling on this pitch. I can't see India scoring more than 200 to be honest.

The best in the world are yet to bat ;)
