England V India ***Clash of the Heavyweights*** Test, T20 and ODI Series

Blimey, I was a bit worried about our batting with Bopara in for Trott, if we ended up 70-3 or something it might have been a bit ropey - but bar a terrible session tomorrow England can pile up an enormous total here.

Bell is in next, one of the most in form batsmen in the world at the moment and loves coming in when the team is in a good position. KP has looked good, then Morgan and Bopara would love to come in with if they are under no pressure..

Fingers crossed for more of the same tomorrow!

I'd like to see Bell moved up the order to 4 and Pietersen moved down once Trott gets back, over the last couple of years he's been the better batsman and his game is more suited to the top order than KP's is.

It may give Pietersen the kick up the rear he needs to get some consistency in his performances.

Well if Bopara can't score runs against this bowling line-up then i will say he is officially the worst player i have seen for England.
I'm not really sure why he is the side now tbh.

Fair do's if he gets some runs though, good on him, but i think he has surely had enough chances now.

My guess is that Bopara will be out lbw for less than 10 runs

Just got home ... What a day :D was sat next to the half naked Roman guys lol and the other side was 3 drunks.... They were drunk before play started and kept throwing beer over me :(
The abuse our own players got from our fans was a shock too. "give us a 1 for a change Ravi" , "Morgan you ******* gippo " etc. Although had to laugh when someone shouts to Bell "Warne is a **** (sweary for womans parts) agree Ian?" and he gave thumbs up :D

Anyway on to tomorrow

-edit-

Fletch talking crap ..
"I have not seen three pitches, even when I was with England, that have swung and seamed around as much as these have (in three Tests at Lord's, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston).

Enjoyed the day's play on TMS :)

But feeling rather fearful for my prospects of being able to put my day five tickets to use. Shame, as it'll likely be the only time I'll have to fit in going to the cricket this series. Was gonna take my dad as well; never been to the cricket together :(

Really puzzled why India have struggled this much. From the sound of the commentary, it didn't seem like England were really bowling unplayable deliveries or anything. Sounded very much like some wickets given away very cheaply right when India needed to make a stand.

Because they're not very good. They're all more interested in being Bollywood-style celebrities than actually getting into shape and playing cricket.

How fat is Sehwag for example?

Whilst I do agree with your point to some extent. Sehwag has been away from cricket since May so that could be part of the reason.

Still, the team is woefully underprepared, over-hyped and they deserve a good thrashing to be honest, if it keeps going like this then England will only have to bat once.

I agree that India are bowling slightly better but they are still woeful.

I really don't like Nasser Hussain but this is just classic-

"India have bowled well" Imagine if they'd bowled badly:eek:
