1 we dont know what the turk said to him and if all he did was blow kisses and have a few choice words back fair enough.

That is a good example a bad example would be walking up to him and punching him in the face, but hey each to there own.


and 2 you need to **** out all of the sweary otherwise you might get in trouble.

Cant stand the owen knockers,unbelievable:rolleyes: :mad: what flippin service did he get in the 1st half, 1 half chance.

The 1st half was incredibly poor for all bar rooney, we just werent pushing far up enough at all, and becks was in danger of getting sent off, for a while. but we pulled it together and that is the best 2nd half for a long time, bridge and scholes who were very poor 1st half, seemed to push up a lot more, gerrard again played a stormer after being nowhere in the 1st half. Basically it seemed as if nobody knew the formation in the 1st half once we got settled, we were superb. And rooney is he the new gazza:cool:

Oh and is sven still going??:p :mad:

probably, i would be well annoyed, im not too happy about the manager we have right now either.

Rustu was superb today, he at times was single handly keeping turkey in the match. I really hope he does join arsenal that player is superb.

It was funny seeing beckham blowing kisses but he was also hurling abuse at them before, and it didnt take a lip reader to tell what he was saying ;) If i was in his position i would do the same so i dont think he did anything wrong, players do it all the time but he just got caught on tv saying it.

lol wrighty still cracks me up :D I remember him before the world cup WF and i was LMAO

also france have come back from 1-0 down after 2 mins to win 2-1. I think we all know they are by far the best in europe, they have the best defense, midfield and attack :eek:
 
OMG


Almost lost my voice coz of that second half. FANTASTIC performance from the lads & now how can Sven justify giving Heskey a start again? Unbelievable stuff. Turkey were lucky to keep 11 men, I counted 3 red cards which should/could have been shown. Rooney as I have maintained is class. Changed the entire England play such quality. We deserved a pen for the BLATENT handball earlier so the 50/50 at the end will have no complaints my end. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

Assessment:

James - 8 - outta position once, made some quality saves
Neville - 6 - good overlaps but nowt much else.
Ferdinand - 7 - solid in the centre
Campbell - 8 - Better than rio :p
Bridge - 7 -Shaky 1st half, class 2nd
Butt - 7 - played the holding role well overall
Beckham - 8 - fluffed up a number of crosses but ran so much & won so many balls he made up for what he lacked & perfect pen.
Gerrard - 7 - quiet 1st half, deafening 2nd
Scholes - 6.5 - didn't do much but better than Neville
Rooney - 9 - quiet at the start but not his fault, blinding performance when he was able to get the ball. Fantastic
Owen - 6.7 - Made some runs but ultimately futile as no service to him.

Vassell - 7 - Not on for too long but a goal & numerous good runs
Dyer - 6 - WON A PEN :D

Oh & Memph, arse aint a sweary m8 :)
 
Owen was pants, yes he didnt get a lot of the ball in front of goal but nor did Vassell and he scored and had a great shot saved.

definately one of Englands best performances in a long time.

The Turks just fell apart in the second half and all that pretty passing went to pot.

Gerrard was excellent in the second half and England have found themselves a world beater in Rooney.

well for once i actually didnt get bored watchin the game!

good preformance by rooney and sol

if theres one thing we lack in this england team is a quality central midfielder who gets stuck in like ince or robson imo gerrard is well over rated why does he consistantly look for the long ball he gave the ball away numerous times

another thing is when we play with owen we always play the long ball its like watching liverpool play (need i say more!:()

we need to play more direct and keep the ball on the floor and play as a team imo this way we will be much better but hey thats just my opinion!

p.s who's that left sided midfielder who plays for celtic (can't remember his name)... i think sven should give him a go hes got a good cross on him!

1st half----------------Pants with one shining light.....Rooney :eek: OMG, what a performance throughout. Becks crossing was poor, Owen didn't have a chance and Gerrard was like a lost little boy on the left.


2nd half------------------What a difference:eek: ....best I've seen England play for ages and at least Gerrard more than made up for his poor first half showing :)

All in all Excellent result and 2nd half performance

Lastly...............Hats of to Rooney:cool:
 
Rooney showed tonight in one game why he should be starting every game for England, regardless of how often he plays for Everton. He was absolutely outstanding and I counted only twice when he gave the ball away, far less than anyone else. And not only was he a constant danger going forward, he chased back and was always helping out when he could. Quality performance from a potential footballing genius.

As for the team as a whole, I thought that it was the best performance since Germany. Quiet first half, but really came together 2nd. I'd still be happier with Seaman/Robinson in goal, but James made a belter of a save that the others may not have got.

Overall, a good night to be an England supporter (even better as an Evertonian ;)).

Somebody summed it up earlier.."i didn't get bored watching England". Spot on..

What is it about playing better teams that brings out the best in the lads..? Argies, Germans..
