why on earth are we playing walcott anymore? hes useless, hes shown nothing since that croatia game in either an arsenal or england shirt. hes the fastest player on the pitch with the slowest brain. his positioning, touch, and runs are absolutly useless.

capello playing rooney like he was last season... when this season has shown where he should be played... lovely. get gerrard stuck on the left
 
I still think England will win. Egypt are playing quite well though and after winning the African cup they must have very high morale. What people forget is that their players are mostly playing in the highest leagues and are very organised.

when you have a terrible midfield showing - its best to cut them out of the game with a 70 yard beckham pass and defence busting 6ft6 finisher on the end of it....

basically paper over the inherrant cracks in our big 3 man midfield with a quick fix goal...

to be fair to gerarrd hes actually trying and doing 1-2s with rooney etc...
 
I think Lampard has played better than Gerrard to be honest. Gerrard just cannot seem to play well for England.

Lampard is playing as well as he is allowed to play. Watch the game and you will see he has all the time in the world. As soon as he ventures to the half way line, then there number 12 closes him down straight away.

Seriously what does Gareth Barry offer the team he is an absolute zero risk footballer. You need players who are willing to take a bit of a risk. 99 times out of a hundred it might not come off but that one chance might be the killer ball in any game to win you the match. If you want lovely side ways passing or back passing over 5 yards hes your man. Anything else is way beyond him.

Booing of Terry, Once again a nonsense. Tonight should be about football not where John Terry decides to stick his Hampton at the weekend. Same with Beckham and John Barnes before them who have all suffered at the hands of a very small selection of small minded fools who seem to be attracted to the England team.

Lethargic performance from England, Barry too one dimensional, Walnutt not match sharp, Great goal from The Egyptians and once again pitch simply not good enough.
