To be honest though I'm one of those who wants all the old guard removed and having a complete young team, that and keeping Parker as far away from international footie as possible the blokes a red card waiting to happen.

Is that honestly a joke, so many fans just react to everything on a week by week basis. Parker gets a red at the weekend so we start talking about him as a red card waiting to happen, that was his second red in the past 6 years. He's not a red card waiting to happen.

he's an excellent tackler, nothing more or less, tackling is more a part of his job that most people on the pitch. There isn't anyone anywhere near as good as him in that position for England, and a WORSE DM will be far far more likely to give away fouls and get booked than a good tackler and good DM.

lol, Song has already conceded more fouls this year than Parker has in any season since his last for Newcastle. Worse DM's give away MORE fouls with a lot more chance of getting carded(well that or leaving the defence exposed and the CB's more likely to pick up cards).

No joke I have always thought that about Parker, good premier league player but no better than that. IMO of course :p
 
Parker's having a stormer and Johnson looks quite good but everyone else has been average at best. Wellbeck looks out of his depth so far.

Edit: Defended well though.
