Joel Campbell has scored for Costa Rica, he's an Arsenal guy by the way in case none of you knew. Poor defending by Adam Matthews.
 
The atmosphere and Wembley is terrible. I'm not sure how it's possible for so many people to make such little noise :(

Yes, I can believe what I want and you can believe what you want, thats fine. But that ISN'T what you said, you said specifically he IS better BECAUSE one particularly season blows away anything Lampard has done.

You picked his best season and claimed Lampard has never matched it, if that is the entire basis(and the only reason you've said) that Gerrard is better than Lampard, you ARE wrong because your reasoning IS wrong. Lampard hasn't failed to scored 10 goals in the league for 9 years in a row, Lampard has only scored 10 or more 3 times in the past 9 years.

Gerrards best year in the league was 16 goals 9 assists, lampards is 22 goals 14 assists, Lampard has matched or beaten Gerrards best year in the league 3 times.

People really need to work out the difference between claiming something like Gerrard is better, and claiming it BASED on a specific argument which can(and in this case has) been proven incorrect.

Say, you think Gerrard is better because he's always played for a worse team , because he does more for the team, because he's taller, whatever, but the only reasoning you gave was incorrect by every measure. So the argument becomes what exactly are you basing Gerrard being better on, scoring more, no, assisting more, no.

Since 02/03 I believe Gerrard has scored 138 goals, Lampard has scored 189 or almost 40% more. Its rare that players even in different clubs are designated as "better" in a given role when the other player has scored and assisted dramatically more in the same period.

Agreed.

Watching the Dutch, they seem to play 4-5 passes and somehow get it into our box. Whereas we play at least 20 or so or 1 long pass that doesn't work very well.
 
No-one seems to be getting forward..just then 6 of our players were just casually walking up away from the area and Young was trying to find players to pass to...

Indeed, it's just a case of passing sideways and not forward.

Almost all forward passes thus far have been a Gerrard hoof ball. Poor show.
