English, CL & Europa League Football [12th - 18th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Decent performance overall; Aquilani and Maxi's best performances by a mile. The standard of officials this season has been a joke; Gerrard and Dindane should have been sent off and we should have had at least 3 penalties if not 4, Joe Royle thought the ref had a good game though :p

Lowest attendance in 5 years at Anfield tonight, just over 40,000. Fingers crossed the FA cant do anything about the Gerrard "challenge".

Fingers crossed they do. :p

One thing is for sure, he shouldn't be facing Man Utd at Old Trafford this weekend. Lets see if the F.A. have balls.

Gerrard never turns up in the United/Liverpool games, might be a good thing if he does play ;)

Dont think it's about balls, if the ref saw it, they cant do anything. If the ref didnt, then I've no doubt that he'll be banned.

Since when has that ever mattered to the F.A. who bend their own rules every other week. It's violent conduct. 3 match ban please. The good thing was he wasn't even booked for it, so I reckon the F.A. will look at it again. :p

If Aquilani gets played ahead of him I really couldn't care less. He's let himself and the club down badly with his attitude this season.

He can be a sulker at the best of times but there's definitely something in the stories about his groin injury. All season he's refused to stretch for a ball that's been slighty over hit; not sure if it's him or the club blocking the op but with the performances he's been putting in he may as well had gone ahead and had it, we wouldn't have missed anything.

He barely registered a smile when we scored tonight. Just a high five with Torres and a look of meh on his face. He's certainly not enjoying his football whatever the problem is.

Sets a precedent though if the referee saw it.

Well the referee should have done his job, if he had given him a yellow, the F.A. would have that to fall back on stating that he was punished by the ref at the time and the matter was dealt with. But no booking at all, and I'm not sure the referee did see it all, the F.A. should definitely step in and ban him and throw the ref into the championship for not doing his job.

God no. Haven't been to an away at Old Trafford for years. Leave that to the young pups, it's a bit volatile these days to say the least. Last time I went was over 4 years ago and the police took great enjoyment out of poking us with their truncheons.

Gerrard clearly acted in self defense. I'd personally ban Evra for his part in the incident.

Well I asked what Gerrard would be let off with this week after last weeks gesture at the ref. This week it's elbows apparently. So for anyone keeping a checklist, Gerrard is now allowed to dive, swear at refs and elbow other players. Any bets on next week?
