English, CL & Europa League Football [12th - 18th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Who said they're treated any worse than anybody else? I said I know it happens in many games in this country. Doesn't make it right though.

Would like to see the football fan who sees that Boateng challenge and agrees it's a yellow (what he was given). Of course there's reason to complain, it was shocking, and on purpose.

Edit - Also it should never have happened if the officials had manned up and sent him off earlier, instead, weak officiating caused another bad challenge

These current threads in SA really are bringing me down. You can't have a serious discussion without getting shouted down, and you can't have a jokey thread (see Rooney and his gloves thread) without everyone being utterly humourless and dull.

I'm so dreadfully sorry I used Ryan Shawcross as an example of a petulant player who clearly has previous on taking out players that are going by him too easily. Next time I will spare some thought to the poor lad, who clearly came out the worst in that nasty challenge with Ramsey, as obviously his emotional scars run so much deeper.

Indeed, but you expect players to "mature" and to keep a cool head the more expirence and older they get. Young players make silly decisions all the time.

Indeedy. Arsenal fans should remember when they got 11 red cards in a season and Mr Wanger said that the league needs to toughen up, well it has and now he's crying about it. :p

Must be a bag of mixed emtions for these players. Same happened to Pele to a awful degree.

Must be an ego thing at some point "the only way they can stop me is to kick me" but must also be thinking "one of these tackles could end my season" ect ect
 
I think you're taking things a bit far jakeke. We've been on the end of a few rash challenges recently but it's just bad luck the actual injuries we've suffered. Hopefully teams will realise that we can't be bullied off the pitch now and will dumb it down a bit.
 
If this isn't the team I've been waiting to see since the beginning of the season. Question is why has Rafa waited so long to drop Lucas.

Love the choice of players tonight only thing is come sunday when we play UTD can garuntee that we will see Kuyt,Lucas back in and chances are create naff all.

Great game so far, Really impressed with Aquaman about time he started!
