English & CL Football [6th - 10th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

What a truly ugly side Stoke are to watch. Problem they have got is that when they come up against a side who are prepared to mix it physically like Chelsea are, Stoke have nothing football wise to fall back on. Fly into tackles as much as you want and throw the ball as long and as hard as you want but if you haven't got any players who can put their foot on the ball for one second and look for a pass you've got nothing.

Plan B Hoof it harder

Well, that was a dull game. None of the lads looked up for it really, and the Chelsea goals were predictable.

Kind of glad I couldn't get a ticket now.

Reading 2-0 Villa

Can't see Villa getting much with Heskey and Carew on the pitch. They both have a negative amount of pace to get in behind a stubborn Reading defence.

thevillian2010 will not be a happy bunny :D

Has he been playing as regularly as Heskey? Criminal if he hasn't.

Make your mind up mate :p

He hasn't played much, and it is indeed criminal. Him and Agbonlahor can be lethal when on form.. Heskey's just a joke. I thought we were out after the first half, a dire dire dire dire DIRE performance, but a great turnaround. Still.. Chelsea next.. :(

We did beat them 2-1 earlier in the year though..I said the same about United and we lost, so it means bugger all lol

1817: Righto, I'm off. You've all been marvellous as ever. You'll be treated to appearances from the likes of Chris Bevan, Sam Lyon and Paul Fletcher as I rest my weary text-commentating fingers for the next few weeks. Sighs of relief all round, I'm sure.

Damn straight you muppet.

Bendner is rubbish

That is all

/end thread:p

His interviews are always good, claims he will be the worlds best striker :D

Yeh worlds best striker at completely missing golden opportunities:p...i have no real like or dislike for the guy but i think its time to ship his ass out and get someone who can at least score when its sitting on a plate.

Give Bender a break, he was never meant to be Arsenal's main source of goals this season but because RvP and Eduardo aren't around he's gone from 3rd choice to 1st choice. He wasn't meant to play every game, he was meant to chip in with 10 goals off the bench/occasional starts. He's doing well and has scored a fair amount when he's played and most importantly of all, his all around performances are improving at a speedy rate, just needs to bring his finishing up to standard and he'll be excellent.

Thats fair enough but with RVP and Eduardo both injured then surely he must know he has to improve his goal scoring skills...which hes had enough time to do so without any real improvement.

Im just fed up of Wenger constantly defending him...hes dire simple as that...hes not consistent as well which is what we need ie someone who consistently scores and Bender boy isnt that person in all honesty.

Id be more happier if we ship him out along with Eduardo as hes not going to be the player he was or could have been....get rid of them both and get someone who can put balls in the back of the net without wasting 10 chances:p

EDIT: great ****ing great Fabregas out of tommorrow crunch match against Porto:(...hopefully we will sneak a won but wtf is up with our injuries??:(
