shows SAF was right though - I believe Bale turned OT down because SAF wanted him as a winger rather than a full back.....

(Bale has been terribly unlucky for Spurs but I always thought he would turn it around eventually - was really gutted Utd lost out on that transfer as Ive said a few times on here over the last few seasons)

IIRC, Bale's Mum was the one who persuaded him to join us.

Great game today at WHL. Great atmosphere too. £887 well spent.

Every single Spurs player deserves so much praise. Bale, Dawson and Gomes are the obvious ones but don't forget the likes of Huddlestone. I remember people saying that he was too big and slow to play in the centre of the park but he's been awesome lately. Great tackling, great pressing and some absolutely wonderful passing.

I was one of them. I wanted to sell him last year when he was moaning about not getting enough playing time.

I thought he was too slow to contribute to the squad, but this season he has shown what he can do and has become a vital player and has been rewarded as such by starting all games he's been available for.

I said before the season started that I'd be surprised if we manage 7th. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Although the season isn't over yet and this is Spurs we're talking about. We could be relegated. I know that's impossible, but with Tottenham there's always a way.
