English League & F.A. Cup Football [10th Apr - 14th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Massive LOL at both Utd for dropping a couple of pts and the biggest LOL for the Spuds who just got their backsides handed to them by dodgy 'arrys previous team:p....gald that Pompey won after everything they have been through...no doubt some of it caused by that slippery rat 'arry redknapp...was nice to see them get to another FA Cup final and Grant must be relishing his chances of beating his old team...although very slim but what a great weekend though.

Hopefully Spuds will play just as bad against Arsenal mid week:p:D
 
Chuffed for Portsmouth, great to see at the end of such a bad season - they rode their luck and some poor reffing decisions, but I'm glad for them.
 
Martin ON got it spot on yesterday, you can't complain if you get a fair game, but neither Villa or Spurs did.

No penalty, legit goal (did you see James' face?), and a shambles of a pitch. What a joke.

Yep, deep down i knew it would happen. I did predict that a Bassong mistake would lose it for us! :eek:

Still, i don't know why the commentators are making out as if Pompey are such massive underdogs. They are still a premier league squad pretty much.
 
Pompey won't be getting in to the Europa League will they? I seem to remember reading that they wouldn't be eligible?

Not anymore they arent....already more or less relegated or have they been relegated now??.

Still what an awesome result to get over your old manager...Redknapps face said it all though after the second goal.

Have to give Wiley some credit...played a blinder today;):p
 
It's bad enough when the other team seem to have all the luck or the ref seems to give all the 50/50 decisions to the opposition but when both happen all the way through the game.... it's annoying to say the least.

The **** has single handledly ruined our season. Palacios has just survived something like 5 full games on a tightrope avoiding a booking in them all to avoid a 2 game ban. He just had to survive todays game and the yellow cards are reset.

He knew about Palacios and with 5 mins to go didn't hesitate for a milisecond to give that penalty and book him. Not content with robbing us in an FA Cup Semi-Final he wanted to wreck our whole season :rolleyes: What's so galling is he doesn't have to answer to anyone for being so bad at his job.

Well, that's a formality really. The squad are still premier league players for the past how ever many seasons. No doubt most will join prem teams in the off season.
 
  1. Missed Corners
  2. Giving Pompey a FK again after they cocked it up
  3. Disallowed Goal
  4. Constantly missing kicks and arms flying about
  5. Pen given for a good challenge when well placed to see it
  6. Yellow card for Palacios when if it was a foul, which it wasn't, it should have been a red
  7. No card for Boateng for removing his shirt



Joke. And that's just what I can remember through this red mist.

Can the suspension be overturned?

I dunno much about the appeals system.

Yep. And no doubt Brown should have been off in the 1st half. Elbowing Bentley in the face a few times, and a blatant knee right in front of the ref, who either bottled it, was paid, or is just plain shocking.
 
As for people laughing at Spurs. I think City have basically now been handed 4th place on a plate.... with all their money and CL football to boot we now have another Chelski.

Great for our league when you think about it?
