English League & F.A. Cup Football [10th Apr - 14th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Well, that's a formality really. The squad are still premier league players for the past how ever many seasons. No doubt most will join prem teams in the off season.

Probably as Pompey need to pay their debts somehow unless they get a new owner who pumps more cash into the club...mind you i dont know whats happening with Pompey but today is pretty special for them in all honesty...after everything thats happened off field...they deserve a bit of good fortune courtesy of Wiley lol.

No, can't complain at all.

Unless you count the stupidly disallowed goal, and the ridiculous pen.

Robbed. End of.

Couldn't give a **** what the rest of you think. Robbed.

No no no, you were outplayed the entire game and it was just a matter of time before Pompy scored.

No really.
;)

This is what the FA Cup is about. In the end the team that deserved it won. Congratulations Pompey. :)

Who knows what the final will bring, it will be something special that’s for sure.

As for people laughing at Spurs. I think City have basically now been handed 4th place on a plate.... with all their money and CL football to boot we now have another Chelski.

Great for our league when you think about it?

Whether they get 4th or not, I really don't think much will change. It might make things slightly easier but they'd still attract players through money alone and none of the real top class players will join them (Messi, Torres etc etc).

It is good because now we get to see suave Mancini in the CL rather than saggy faced Harry.

Well it'll be Liverpool who will suffer more than anyone. City made asses of themselves before trying to throw money alone at players, now there's nothing stopping them.

Hows Rafa's quest for 4th going this weekend?
I've got a big print map here of eastern europe if any of you scallies want it to help you follow "the biggest team in the world" through their journey in the Channel 5 cup next season.

Why would we suffer more than anybody else? What about Arsenal or yourselves and Villa?
Arsenal are a lot better than you and could even cope perfectly well without CL football for a season or two. They're financially sound and Wenger doesn't rely on big star signings anyway.

Spurs and Villa have never had CL football, we can cope without it as we aren't used to it.

Liverpool are used to CL money and the pull of it to attract and keep players like Gerrard and Torres. City will replace the weakest of the Sky 4 which is Liverpool.

You're in deep ****

I presumed he was saying that City will consolidate themselves in the top 4 at our expense. In which case that would make Spurs' chances of making the top 4 even more remote.

With some luck the play-off system will be brought in soon enough which will make that less important.

would benitez be gone if they failed for a top 4 finish ,does'nt madrid want him , if this happens and liverpool cant find a good replacment would torres and perhaps gerrard want to stay?

I can't be the only person bewildered by the last few weeks football all being hampered by really awful refereeing.

Granted, it may seem like more mistakes due to the greater amount of matches being played, FA Cup, Premier League coming to an end, Champions League etc, but refereeing standards seem to be rapidly diminishing.

It's not just English Football though, the referee of El Classico last night wasn't up to much either.

Something needs to be done about it, god forbid the world cup. :( :p

I'm predicting another Graham Poll level cockup.
