English League Football [30th Jan - 3rd Feb 2010] **spoilers**

You'd have thought beating teams like Hull were "easy as pie", but they didn't. Nothing's a given in football, so never assume.
Agreed but Id rather play them than our next 2 fixtures :p. Been quite a tough set of fixtures weve had since the start of December...

Being in all domestic competitions doesnt help, especially considering how we began to waiver at the tail of last season. Just nice having a few seasons of consolidation, but now I have expectations!!!

Cesc reckons United is the 'most special' game to play in the Premier League and because of the history and rivalry down the years I have to admit there's always an extra edge. Cesc, I'm sure, will hoping if there's a slice of luck it'll fall to us and he'll be looking for a pizza the action tomorrow. In Cesc we crust! I'm getting excited now.

Mad Irish nutter.

Yup, but at least we don't have to worry about Europe this year. As well as obviously winning a major final, beating Man Utd could be important to us getting into Europe for next year. Liverpool, Man City, Spurs, Villa and maybe even Everton all have a shot of making the top 6, so someone's got to lose out.

I wonder if the Burnley fans will be booing Terry as much if he scores a header like that to win us the World Cup...

Doh, ruddy Terry.

Quite an interesting game, Burnley with the quality of Blake back, and Paterson with a bit of speed and fight in the second half are a different team to recently.

Quite nice to see, Zirkov was a bit of a tit shoving whoever that was into the advertising board, but Cech absolutely sprinted over to check if he was ok, which was good too see.

Cole off injured, great last second tackle in the box to block the ball as Ashley Cole absolutely put his foot through it.

Whole different mindset watching international football. What did you want them to do, cheer him after scoring the winning goal against them?

I was on about the booing/chanting from minute 1.

I agree with you about it being a different mindset watching international football. I wouldn't give two ****s who won us or how we won the WC as long as we did!

Well I thought it would be a lot more comfortable than that! 3 points though and quel surprise terry secures the win.
